General Dentistry

New Patient Exams

At your first visit, we will begin with a complete exam, which is a thorough exam of not only your teeth, but also your gums, surrounding tissues, jaw and neck. A set of digital x-rays are usually taken, this includes a Panoramic view that shows all your teeth and jaw bones and a smaller set of more detailed bite views to show cavities and gum disease. If requested, a cleaning may also be done at your first visit. A complete exam followed by dental x-rays play an important role in helping the dentist provide diagnosis and treatment options. The dentist will then take some time to discuss proposed treatment options and answer any questions or concerns that you may have.

We provide all aspects of general dentistry including complete family care as well as many cosmetic procedures. Our team is here to provide the best dental experience for your entire family, we want you and your family to be comfortable in our chairs and leave feeling confident and happy with your smile. We are experienced with children of all ages. We want your child to be comfortable during visits, to relax and watch the television, and the treasure box is their incentive to reach their dental goals. Whatever it is that you and your family need, we are here to help, from check-up and cleaning, exams and x-rays, crowns, bridges and more.

Children's Dentistry

Unless you have concerns or questions, your child’s first dental experience should be around the age of three years. We know that this can sometimes be stressful on parents as well as the child. At our office we strive to make your child’s dental visits as pleasant and exciting as possible. Your child can pick which channel they would like to watch on our televisions, lay back and relax. Contact our office when your child is ready for their first visit or if you have any concerns with your child’s oral health. We look forward to caring for your whole family (including being your kids dentist) and educating them through a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles.

Dental Cleanings

When maintaining healthy teeth and gums is so critical to your overall health, it’s easy to recognize how important it is to make regular hygiene care a priority. Over 60% of Canadians suffer – many unknowingly – from periodontal disease. There is clear evidence that this condition is linked to many serious health conditions including stroke, autoimmune disorders, heart disease and more. Prevention begins with proper dental care that includes a regular checkup and cleaning from your dentist and hygienist team.

Dental Screenings and X-Rays

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is one of the most common cancers today and can occur anywhere in the mouth, most common the tongue but also could include the lips, gums and other soft tissue in the mouth. Oral cancer screening is usually part of a routine dental examination. In this exam, we will feel for lumps or irregular tissue changes in your head, neck, face and inside your mouth. We will also look for sores or discolored tissue in your mouth. Some believe some oral cancer risk factors are hereditary. A healthy diet, maintaining good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are recommended in preventing oral cancer. When it comes to your health, you are of utmost importance. We want you to have the best care possible and if we ever have a concern you can be referred to the proper specialist.

Digital X-Rays

Our digital radiography system provides excellent images with less radiation than conventional x-rays and our high magnification intra-oral camera and computer monitor allow you to see exactly what we see to help you understand the treatment we recommend.
