PATIENT INFO

New Patients

At your first visit, we will begin with a complete exam, which is a thorough exam of not only your teeth, but also your gums, surrounding tissues, jaw and neck. A set of digital x-rays are usually taken, this includes a Panoramic view that shows all your teeth and jaw bones and a smaller set of more detailed bite views to show cavities and gum disease. If requested, a cleaning may also be done at your first visit. A complete exam followed by dental x-rays play an important role in helping the dentist provide diagnosis and treatment options. The dentist will then take some time to discuss proposed treatment options and answer any questions or concerns that you may have.

Payment Information

Dental Studio Group offers convenient payment options, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac debit or cash. Patients are expected to complete payment at the conclusion of each treatment appointment. One of our Patient Care Coordinators will submit all claims to your primary benefit plan provider on your behalf, either electronically or by mail, as required. Typically patients can expect reimbursement, as specified by the terms of their plan, from their insurance company within 2 to 10 days for claims filed electronically. We also provide printed copies of paper claims for secondary coverage for which they may be eligible.

Insurance Claims

A dental benefit plan is a contract between you, the employer and the insurance company. It is important to understand that the patient is the owner of that benefit plan. Therefore it is you, in consultation with our dental team, who should determine and authorize your dental treatments.

In recent years, these benefit plans have become more complex, and often, individually tailored to each employer’s specific needs and subject to change, even from one year to the next. Dental Studio Patient Care Coordinators have a keen general knowledge of the plans. They are happy to assist our patients in understanding them, and to help you receive the proper dental care available to you through the plan. That is why we ask you to bring details, and most importantly, regularly update our staff about changes to your benefit plan. However, it remains the patient’s plan, and as its owner, you are ultimately responsible for its accurate interpretation.

For your convenience, we accept cash, Visa, MasterCard American Express, and debit card payments.
